  • Medical Nutrition Therapy services provided by an RDN have many positive impacts on chronic disease. Whether you are suffering from malnutrition, diabetes, heart disease, kidney disease, hypertension, thyroid disease, autoimmune disease, cancer, COPD, or more, we can work together to create a plan to help manage, slow the progression, or even reverse your chronic health conditions.

  • Considering food preferences and food behaviors; medical history; work/school schedules; social life and family; sleep habits and stress; leisure time; and food selection/cooking abilities; we can come up with an eating plan to keep you on track.

When meal planning for a client, my main focus is on consuming whole foods. From experience, I have found that when individuals remove ultra-processed foods from the diet - including foods with artificial ingredients and chemicals- they start to enjoy fresh fruits and vegetables much more. By doing so, it becomes increasingly easy to choose fresh whole foods that nourish the body and provide essential nutrients.

  • Whether you are facing a new diagnosis that requires a diet or lifestyle change, managing a chronic condition that has nutritional implications, or seeking to maintain good health through positive dietary choices, I can provide you with individualized dietary counseling to complement your medical treatment and optimize your health.

  • I have the expertise in nutrition and counseling that will help you lose excess weight without going on a diet. You may have had success losing weight on a fad diet, but it is likely that once returning to your typical eating habits, you gained the weight back. Fad diets often focus on calorie intake, but do not emphasize the importance of healthy lifestyle choices along with exercise. In addition, fad diets often encourage deprivation and the demonization of foods, which may lead to nutrient deficiencies and disordered eating habits. Let’s face it, the quick fix weight loss programs and diet supplements are only designed to make money for their creators. They rarely lead to long-term weight loss.

I teach individuals how to make nutritious choices throughout the day. Small changes in what you eat and your activity level will lead you to lose weight and maintain a healthier lifestyle.

If you’re tired of the excess weight, if you want more energy, and if you want to live longer, now is the time for a healthier YOU!

  • If you’re living a plant-based lifestyle and need some support, the best source is a registered dietitian nutritionist that specializes in Veganism! Whether you have been a vegan for years or you’re thinking about trying to incorporate more plant based foods into the diet - a consultation will be beneficial! I work with clients to assure they are getting all essential nutrients while eating plant based.

And of course, if you feel unhealthy in any way, are worried that you may not be hitting all of your nutrition needs, are struggling with your eating habits, or just have nutrition questions and need answers from an expert, consulting a vegan RDN (or even working with one on an ongoing basis) could be great for you.

  • I am a board certified specialist in gerontological nutrition- a specialist in nutrition for older adults. I can offer evidenced-based, easy to understand nutrition and general health information- all specific to the older adult.

Good nutrition is an important part of aging. And what good nutrition looks like throughout the life span changes. Nutrition for older adults is different. Here, I focus on the care of the older adult who may be sick, struggling, and closer to the end of life.

Are you a caregiver? A son, a daughter, a grandchild, a niece, a nephew, a neighbor, a friend? Are you providing elderly care for an older adult in your life? Do you have questions about their nutrition- what are the nutritional requirements for the elderly, or how to help older adults gain weight, or what foods to provide, and how to help them have the best quality of life in their final years? My goal is to give you resources to help the older adult in your life thrive in their final years.
